Duplex plans contain two separate living units within the same structure. The building has a single footprint, and the apartments share an interior fire wall, so this type of dwelling is more economical to build than two separate homes of comparable size. Many of our plans feature mirror image living spaces, and this arrangement allows plumbing to be stacked along the shared interior wall, which is particularly efficient. Of course, we also have some duplexes with apartments that wrap around each other, providing unique floor plans and making it hard to even identify them as anything but a single family home. Our duplexes are single to three stories, come in various styles, and while most have equal square footage, some are uneven to provide enough room for a growing family and another smaller apartment.
